Yuki Tsunoda, among the guests at the Sports Festival in Trento, made a few remarks about the recent form of Ferrari. The Japanese driver was invited to the renowned festival organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport every year to celebrate the world of sports. As can be seen from the many photos on social media, the event, hosted by Federica Masolin, was filled with young people of Yuki’s age. “It’s really nice to see all these young guys here listening to me. I didn’t expect that. Being in Italy, I can feel the passion you have for Ferrari.”
Speaking about Ferrari and its recent form, the 2000-born Alpha Tauri driver also made a joke: “Well, Ferrari isn’t going that fast right now…”. And this was followed by laughter from the audience.
Yuki Tsunoda also had the opportunity to talk about his childhood and his idols from the past. “My childhood idols were Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso. I raced go-karts until I was sixteen. When I was little, my father took me to Suzuka to watch the Grand Prix, and I was terrified by the noise. I asked him to leave right away! Then, of course, things changed! The transition from a fan to an F1 driver was so rapid that it took me a while to get used to reality.”
The Sports Festival event, co-organized by the Italian daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in collaboration with Trentino Marketing and with the endorsement of the Italian Olympic (CONI) and Paralympic Committee, offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for fans and sports enthusiasts to connect with their sporting heroes and explore a wide range of activities. With more than 60 activities and events taking place across 15 venues and in 5 squares throughout the city of Trento, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
