F1 Japanese GP: Follow the live updates and commentary from FP1 in Suzuka [ LIVE ]. Follow the live commentary of FP1 for the Japanese GP with us.

Formula 1 is back on track: join us for the live coverage of FP1 at the Japanese GP. In this third round of the 2025 season, Ferrari needs to deliver concrete answers after a disappointing start to the year. McLaren remains the team to beat, with one victory for Lando Norris and another for Oscar Piastri.

Behind them, Mercedes has shown good form (two podiums for George Russell), while Red Bull continues to struggle—although attention will also be on the driver swap between Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda. The latter makes his debut for the Austrian team right at his home Grand Prix: how will he perform?

F1, Japanese GP 2025: What’s the weather forecast for the weekend?
The forecast for the Suzuka weekend is rather unpredictable. On Friday, temperatures are expected to be around 14°C with almost no risk of rain. However, strong winds, reaching up to 45 km/h, could affect performance. Saturday’s qualifying session will see slightly cooler temperatures, with the possibility of a few raindrops in the evening.

On Sunday, conditions will be milder, with temperatures around 18°C. However, there is a chance of rain at the start of the race, which could shake things up.
