Wednesday is usually the first opportunity for reports to take the first images from the pitlane and the Paul Ricard event is no exception. Motorsport Italy’s Giorgio Piola was at Paul Ricard, which this weekend will host the twelfth round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship. The images taken by the Italian journalist and television commentator do not offer us any technical innovation, but outside the box of the Maranello team we can see six “naked” F1-75 noses, that is to say not already fitted with parts of the front wing.
This suggests that there could be some updates also in the front of the F1-75 car, as a development is expected at the rear of the wing that had made its debut in the Canadian GP on Charles Leclerc’s F1-75 car, after it was initially planned to be introduced at the Silverstone circuit.
The bodywork of the F1-75 also appears behind the noses: the version with the most open ‘gills’ was chosen to ensure the necessary extraction of hot air from the radiant masts of the power unit 066/7: the weather forecasts for the French race indicate a pretty hot end of the week.
The Maranello team arrives at Paul Ricard circuit on the back of two victories secured by Carlos Sainz in the British Grand Prix and by Charles Leclerc in Austria, at the Red Bull Ring and has every intention of continuing the streak with two races to go until until the summer break (the Hungarian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place seven days later).
