THE SPIELBERG CIRCUIT
Emerging from the remnants of the former Osterreichring, the Spielberg Circuit has undergone significant transformations, including a shortened layout and various modifications. The once-arduous ascent to the initial corner has been reduced in length. Following this, a straight connects the old track to an abrupt hairpin turn, featuring a steep incline. Notable changes have also been made to the two left-hand bends leading to the Texaco Schikane. The final corner, now a dogleg with double apexes, allows for a more generous run-off area on the outer edge. With a compact distance of just 4.318 kilometers, this track demands ample power and exceptional traction. Ferrari’s triumphs in Austria include five victories: Lorenzo Bandini claimed success on the L-shaped Zeltweg circuit in 1964, Jacky Ickx conquered the old Osterreichring, and Eddie Irvine emerged as the first winner on the new layout in 1999. Michael Schumacher secured triumphs in 2002 and 2003.
TURN 2
This turn represents a formidable challenge, featuring an uphill braking point. In 1999, a dramatic collision between teammates Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard opened the door for Eddie Irvine to claim a great victory for Scuderia Ferrari.

PIT LANE (OR FINISH LINE)
In 2003, German driver Michael Schumacher showcased his unyielding composure and his pit crew displayed exceptional nerve. During a pit stop, the Ferrari F1 car caught fire, yet the German driver remained impassive in the cockpit while the mechanics extinguished the flames. Michael resumed the race in third position and ultimately emerged as the winner.
