After Charles Leclerc’s special cap for the Monaco Grand Prix a few weeks ago, Scuderia Ferrari is also launching one dedicated to Carlos Sainz for the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix, which will take place this week. For driver number 55, this will be his home Formula 1 Grand Prix and his last one alongside the Maranello team.
Ferrari is now accustomed to creating special merchandise for certain special occasions. Since last year, the merchandise used for the two home drivers has been very well received. So, for this season as well, the Maranello team has chosen to dedicate two caps to its two drivers for their home races.
Carlos Sainz’s cap, which the Spaniard will use throughout the race week at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, will be completely white with very particular small details. Indeed, the cap will feature small chili peppers (Carlos Sainz’s symbol) and small Spanish flags.
The usual number “55” remains on the lower area, and the Ferrari logo will be white with black details. So, once again, Puma has chosen with Ferrari to make a small modification to the official merchandise for the race weekend. This Barcelona race will also be Carlos Sainz’s last home race with the Italian side, as Lewis Hamilton will join Scuderia Ferrari starting with the next Formula 1 championship. Not only that, but it seems that major news about his future might arrive in Spain. With the next season approaching, it is still unclear what the future holds for the Spaniard.
