Ferrari adds a new event for the 2025 Italian GP at Monza
The Italian Grand Prix weekend at Monza will once again be packed with initiatives from Ferrari, and this year the Maranello team has announced yet another addition to an already full program. As always, Monza promises to be a very special moment for the Scuderia and its fans during the sixteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
This evening, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will take part in the event “Drive to Monza by Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%” at the Palazzo Reale in Milan, starting from 19:30. But that is only the beginning of what Ferrari has planned.
A retro livery for Monza
For the Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari has unveiled a brand-new livery to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Niki Lauda’s first World Championship title with the Maranello team. The SF-25 will take inspiration from the historic Ferrari 312 T, featuring its iconic longitudinal stripes, while the driver names on the car will be written in italic script. The entire Ferrari crew will also embrace a retro look, with race suits designed to recall the team’s classic style from 1975.
The Ferrari 312 T on display
The tributes do not stop there. Starting tomorrow, September 4, 2025, fans will have the chance to admire the legendary Ferrari 312 T up close at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello. This initiative gives Formula 1 enthusiasts the opportunity to relive a remarkable chapter in motorsport history, bringing them face-to-face with one of Ferrari’s most iconic cars.
Jean Alesi returns to the track at Monza
The celebrations continue right through to Sunday. Before the race begins at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, the Scuderia has organized a special event for all fans attending the circuit. Former Ferrari driver Jean Alesi, who raced for the team between 1991 and 1995, will take to the track at the wheel of the Ferrari 412 T2 from 1995.
On the official Ferrari website, the announcement highlighted: “Speaking of heroes, on Sunday before the race start at Monza, fans at the Autodromo will be able to welcome back one of the most beloved drivers in Scuderia history. We are talking about Jean Alesi, Ferrari driver from 1991 to 1995, who despite only one victory – in Canada on his 31st birthday, June 11, 1995 – remains in the hearts of Maranello fans. The Frenchman will drive a Ferrari 412 T2 from 1995, the last Formula 1 car powered by the legendary Maranello V12 engine.”
Between the retro livery, the presence of iconic cars, and tributes to both past and present Ferrari legends, the 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Monza is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration for the Tifosi.
