Three strategic options for the teams
According to Pirelli’s predictions, a one-stop strategy is expected to dominate. The fastest strategy would likely involve starting on the medium tire and then switching to the hard compound. In this scenario, pit stop windows would fall between laps 28 and 34.
An alternative could involve starting on a soft tire, then switching to a hard tire, and finishing the race on a medium tire. If teams choose this strategy, the pit stop windows would likely occur between laps 13 and 19, and again between laps 45 and 51.
The third option envisions starting on the medium tire followed by two stints on the hard compound. In this case, pit stops would be scheduled between laps 18 and 24, and again between laps 43 and 49.

Tire allocation for the weekend
It’s important to note that for this weekend, Pirelli has decided to bring the following tire compounds: Hard C2, Medium C3, and Soft C4. These are the sets available to drivers:
- Hard C2
- Medium C3
- Soft C4
Teams will need to carefully evaluate these options, taking into account track conditions, tire degradation, and potential safety car periods, to determine the best strategy for a strong result. Ferrari, in particular, will be looking to maximize these strategic windows to recover positions and challenge the leaders at Zandvoort.
