Ferrari turns blue for Shanghai

Through a post on social media, the Prancing Horse officially announced a special merchandising line dedicated to the Chinese round of the Formula 1 championship. The collection will feature an unprecedented color scheme for the Maranello outfit: alongside the traditional Ferrari red, there will be a deep shade of blue with purple-like undertones. This chromatic choice will effectively replace the white elements that were present on the SF-26 livery revealed during the official presentation of the car.
Images of the first items from the collection had already begun circulating on social media in recent weeks, sparking curiosity and speculation among Ferrari fans and Formula 1 followers. Now, with the official confirmation of the special merchandising line, the commercial initiative linked to the Chinese Grand Prix weekend has been formally announced.
However, it remains unclear whether this aesthetic choice will be limited exclusively to merchandising and team apparel or if it could also influence—at least partially—the livery of the Formula 1 car during the race weekend. For the moment, Scuderia Ferrari has not released any official indication regarding possible changes to the color scheme of the SF-26.
The Shanghai International Circuit nevertheless brings back positive memories for Ferrari. It was precisely there last year that the Maranello team secured its only victory of the season, achieved by Lewis Hamilton in the Sprint Race. A result that the Scuderia hopes it can replicate, or even improve upon, during the new Formula 1 season.
With a completely new car, a redesigned Power Unit, and a refreshed image also from a merchandising perspective, Ferrari is preparing to play a leading role in the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship with the clear objective of returning consistently to the very top of the sport.
The blend of technical innovation and bold marketing moves suggests that Ferrari is leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of glory. Whether the blue accents lead to a podium finish in Shanghai remains to be seen, but the Scuderia has certainly succeeded in capturing the attention of the global fanbase ahead of the season’s first Sprint weekend.
The introduction of a special blue and purple merchandise line for the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix therefore marks a significant aesthetic departure for Ferrari, reflecting the team’s renewed energy and ambition as they chase further success at the Shanghai International Circuit.
