Leclerc comments on the Ferrari SF-26
During the presentation of the Ferrari SF-26, Charles Leclerc shared his thoughts on the new single-seater with which he will hunt for the 2026 world championship.
Now entering his eighth season with Ferrari, the Monegasque driver hopes to finally have a car capable of fighting for the title until the very end. If that does not materialize, Leclerc could start exploring other options, with the 2027 market potentially becoming one of the most spectacular in recent years.
Of course, the hope of Maranello’s passionate fans is that the brand-new SF-26 will be the car that finally marks a return to success. However, the first real answers will likely only come during the second week of testing in Bahrain, when teams will run aerodynamic configurations similar to those expected in Australia.
Leclerc’s insights on the SF-26
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc commented on Ferrari’s new car, presented in the cold at Fiorano in front of thousands of fans. “The 2026 regulations require even more in-depth preparation, especially for us drivers. There are many new systems to understand and exploit to their fullest, which is why we have been working hard from the very early stages of the project development. In my years with Scuderia Ferrari HP, we have already experienced significant regulatory changes together. We know how complex this challenge is, but we are approaching it with great motivation to be as prepared as possible once we hit the track. Energy management and the power unit will be among the most significant aspects. It’s a stimulating challenge that will require us drivers to adapt quickly, initially relying more on instinct and progressively making greater use of precise data. The support of our fans is what makes Ferrari so special and drives us to always give our best,” the Monegasque explained.
