The next round of the Formula 1 World Championship, the Canadian Grand Prix, is just around the corner, and the first previews of the trophies to be awarded to the top three finishers are already circulating on social media.
For the 2025 edition, the choice was made to take a step back in time by bringing back to the Montréal podium one of the most appreciated trophies by drivers and fans: the one already used in 2022. An identical replica will in fact be handed to the podium finishers on Sunday evening, as a sign of continuity and a tribute to a recent but already iconic tradition.
As shown in a video posted on the official Instagram account of the Canadian Grand Prix, the trophy features an elegant and symbolic design: a silver spiral with the iconic red maple leaf at the center — the country’s symbol — topped by a checkered flag representing the finish line.
The piece, faithful to the version seen three years ago, retains a minimalist and refined aesthetic. It was also created by local designers based near the circuit, as stated in the official post. Now all that remains is to wait for Sunday to see who will lift it in front of the Montréal crowd.
