With the new year, F1 gears up for a record-breaking calendar. Here are all the dates for the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship.
New year, new Formula 1: during the winter, teams are preparing their cars for the 2024 season, a Formula 1 championship with a record-breaking calendar. Let’s discover together the dates of the 24 events on the program for the new year.
The 2024 F1 calendar will feature a significant novelty. The Circus is set to welcome back the Chinese Grand Prix. For the first time since the onset of the pandemic, Shanghai is back on the schedule, marking the fifth stop on the championship path.
With the addition of the Chinese event, the 2024 F1 calendar will reach the record number of 24 venues. In addition to Shanghai, which hosted 22 races last season, the unfortunate Imola is back after being forced to withdraw last year due to the weather disaster that struck the region in the week leading up to the Grand Prix.
The program will also include six “sprint” stages: Shanghai, Miami, Spielberg, Austin, San Paolo, and Losail. Not only are the locations of the Sprint Races changing, but the format is also evolving. Details about the new sprint race scheduling will be officially announced in the coming weeks of 2024.
