Development: all team updates with six races until end of 2022 F1 season. All team updates with six races until end of 2022 F1 season.

The Italian Grand Prix concluded the hat-trick of races that followed one another on the tracks of Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort and Monza. The triple-header marked the return of Formula 1 after the August summer break, making the first race the most suitable event to witness new aerodynamic updates from the teams. The short time that separated the three trips, however, limited the possibility of seeing significant updates in subsequent rounds at Zandvoort and Monza.

Among the top teams, the triple-header saw the introduction by Red Bull of some new body elements. The changes range from the engine cover to the sides, with the clear aim of limiting the impact given by the opening of the cooling grille, but with the suspicion that the team has also attempted to seek further aerodynamic efficiency. Ferrari, on the other hand, made its debut with a new low-load rear wing, one of the elements that allowed the F1-75 car to take pole position in the home race at Monza.

Mercedes continued the work of updating the floor, with a new version of the underbody, while leaving the sides intact. Going down the performance hierarchies, Alpine’s main interventions focused on correcting the grid below the lateral Venturi channels. Full-bodied upgrade package for McLaren instead, which updated the diffuser, bodywork and rear wing.
