All about Charles Leclerc
There’s everything about Charles Leclerc in the great comeback he made during the Imola race. The Ferrari driver from Monaco rose from the eleventh starting position to finish sixth, after a race full of determination, with overtakes on the limit, hard defenses, and wheel-to-wheel battles with rivals. However, Charles Leclerc was penalized by the not-so-ideal timing of the VSC and SC, and he had to give up a position to Alex Albon in the final stages in a situation where he was under investigation, but his performance surely thrilled Ferrari fans.
Charles Leclerc’s comments to Sky Italia
“The events didn’t turn in my favor, and that frustrates me a lot. I know I gave it my all, I know I did everything I could, but… We had two Safety Cars at the worst possible moments. In the second one, I only had one Soft tire available in the pits, and I wanted to fit it, but Lewis changed his mind and pitted, and I didn’t know how many positions I would lose waiting behind the pit. In the end, I have no regrets because I think I might have helped Lewis a bit. I tried until the end.” – the Monegasque driver added at the end of the Imola Grand Prix.
“I understand the journalists’ questions because every time we come in front of the cameras, we say we need to understand. I think this is common in Formula 1, the need to understand, and we always use these words. When it comes to reacting, it’s not that we don’t understand what’s happening; obviously, there are signals. We’re trying a lot of things in the simulator, and we haven’t found the solution yet. We’re working hard on it. And I’d say we need to understand, although maybe I should stop saying it. Do I have faith in this group after 7 years? Yes, I do have faith, everyone needs to have it, and we need to push until the end. I’m doing my best, and I hope it pays off in the end.”
