
Looking at the lap comparison between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen, one cannot help but notice that in the second part of the race with a dry track, Charles did not do a single lap faster than the Dutchman, and indeed the gap average is about eight tenths per lap in favor of the Red Bull driver. If this average had been for all 63 laps of the race, there would be about 50 seconds of gap between the first Ferrari and the winner, so the gap is still close to one minute and increases in the race compared to qualifying even on more technical tracks such as Imola.
