Race after race, Charles Leclerc continues to write pages of Ferrari history in Formula 1.
Charles Leclerc aims to overtake Fernando Alonso
In Bahrain, the Monegasque driver became the Ferrari driver with the most points scored in red, and in Miami, he could surpass Fernando Alonso in another category.
With a top-3 finish in the upcoming Miami race in the United States, Charles Leclerc would reach 45 podiums with Ferrari, overtaking the Spaniard (currently at 44).
Should number 16 succeed, he would move into fifth place alone on the all-time list for the Prancing Horse. Leading the ranking is the dominant and – at least so far – unreachable Michael Schumacher with 116 podiums, followed by Rubens Barrichello and Sebastian Vettel (both tied at 55), and Kimi Raikkonen (52).
We’ll have to wait and see if Charles Leclerc will write another page in his Ferrari career, but one thing is certain: to achieve more prestigious milestones, he’ll need a more competitive car than the current SF-25.
