Outside of Formula 1, Charles Leclerc has carved a niche with his passion for ice cream, turning it into the successful LEC brand. Launched a few years ago, the brand has grown rapidly, bolstered by the Monegasque driver’s rising fame and his connection with fans worldwide. For Leclerc, the ice cream business offers a welcome break from the intense pressures of the F1 paddock, while also allowing him to express creativity off-track.
During a recent event introducing a new LEC flavor named Why Nut?—a low-calorie hazelnut and cocoa swirl—Leclerc spoke openly about his objectives for his eighth season with Ferrari. He compared the strategy behind developing a successful ice cream flavor to the tactical approach required in Formula 1, highlighting how careful planning and adaptability are key both on and off the track. Charles Leclerc even humorously noted that “clipping” in ice cream is less immediate than in modern F1 cars, referencing how energy management differs between the two worlds.
Charles Leclerc also shared insights into his F1 ambitions. He confirmed that his sights remain firmly set on challenging for the world championship in 2026. The Monegasque driver is using the current mid-season break to focus on physical conditioning, simulator work, and close collaboration with Ferrari engineers in Maranello. The 28-year-old emphasized that the entire Scuderia team is working tirelessly to ensure both he and his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, are in optimal shape to maximize performance in the upcoming races.
Reflecting on the new season, Charles Leclerc underscored the importance of maintaining focus and consistency. He noted that the lessons learned from careful preparation, whether in crafting a new ice cream flavor or fine-tuning race strategy, directly translate to his approach in Formula 1. The combination of off-track dedication and on-track ambition is central to Ferrari’s efforts to challenge Mercedes and the rest of the 2026 F1 field.
With the Miami Grand Prix approaching, Charles Leclerc is determined to carry forward the momentum built in the early rounds of the season, while continuing to innovate both as a driver and an entrepreneur. The launch of the Why Nut? flavor not only celebrates his personal brand but also symbolizes Leclerc’s commitment to excellence, precision, and strategic thinking in every aspect of his career.
