Miami GP preview: Antonelli leads the championship
After his triumph in Shanghai, Andrea Kimi Antonelli added a stunning victory in Suzuka, leaving Japan as the new leader of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship. It has been a golden period for the young Italian, though the season will soon face a temporary pause. Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix have been canceled, forcing a break in the calendar.
The championship will resume in Miami in early May, a pivotal round of the season. In addition to the return of the Sprint format, the FIA will also make its first decision regarding the ADUO system. As Frederic Vasseur noted, “From that moment on, a new championship will begin for everyone.” As usual, the weekend will be broadcast live on TV and streaming via Sky.
