By now, it’s widely known that the renewal of Charles Leclerc’s contract with Scuderia Ferrari is a highly-discussed topic during this summer break. Amidst possible already-signed agreements and rumors, fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement.
In recent weeks, discussions have revolved around a potential agreement reached between the Monegasque driver and the Maranello team for a multi-year extension at significantly higher figures than the current deal. Adding to these speculations are talks about the lack of viable alternatives for Charles Leclerc at the moment. During an interview with Roberto Chinchero for Motorsport Italy, Charles Leclerc indeed delved into the topic of his renewal with Ferrari. “Being where I am today has always been my dream. I love Ferrari,” declared the Monegasque driver. “Certainly, no one is happy with our current situation, but I feel at home with Ferrari. So far, there hasn’t been a real negotiation for renewal, just a few jokes.” – he added.
In recent weeks, Frederic Vasseur had labeled the contract renewals for both Ferrari drivers as a non-priority issue, a sentiment echoed by the Monegasque himself. “In the last months, we’ve had other things to focus on because what truly matters at this point is to return to competitiveness as quickly as possible.”

“My dream is to win the World Championship with Ferrari, and I will try to seize every available opportunity,” added Charles Leclerc. “However, if I have to be honest, yes, I believe that every driver evaluates all the possibilities on the table.” – he concluded.
