Charles Leclerc open to racing and winning at Le Mans alongside his Ferrari F1 career. Charles Leclerc admits he is considering the World Endurance Championship.

Leclerc dreams of Le Mans with Ferrari: “I want to find a way to race and win”; the Monegasque would not mind combining WEC and F1

Charles Leclerc has never hidden his deep connection to motorsport and to Ferrari, and he has never ruled out the possibility of seeing himself racing in the World Endurance Championship one day. It is a bond that goes beyond Formula 1 and looks with genuine interest at the world of endurance racing. During the FIA prize-giving ceremony, the Monegasque driver openly expressed a wish that immediately ignited the enthusiasm of Ferrari fans.

When talking about motorsport, the 24 Hours of Le Mans represents an absolute symbol. It is a historic and iconic race that embodies the very essence of endurance racing and holds a special place in the hearts of motorsport enthusiasts around the world.

In recent years, that appeal has grown even stronger thanks to Ferrari’s triumphant return to the top class of endurance racing. The Maranello-based manufacturer has claimed three consecutive victories at Le Mans and secured the WEC world title, asserting itself with the Ferrari 499P. A level of dominance that has certainly not gone unnoticed by Charles Leclerc.

Leclerc considers the WEC to find the victories Ferrari cannot give him in F1

Present at the end-of-season awards ceremony, Charles Leclerc spoke openly about his future and his dreams in motorsport. Despite a difficult Formula 1 campaign, the Ferrari driver showed clarity and determination when discussing what lies ahead.

“I have to find a way to combine Formula 1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” Charles Leclerc stated, making it clear that the idea is far from unrealistic.

His wording immediately underlined his competitive mindset. “Me at Le Mans? Yes, but I want to win,” he added, once again stressing that victory remains his ultimate objective. This is especially relevant given Ferrari’s current dominance in the WEC, while the Scuderia continues to struggle in Formula 1.

The 2025 season was not an easy one for Ferrari in Formula 1. However, Charles Leclerc managed to limit the damage, securing seven podium finishes and keeping the Scuderia’s name at the front of the field. A return that still feels modest for a driver whose sole ambition is to fight for the world championship.

At the same time, Ferrari’s success in the WEC represents a striking contrast. The team led by Antonello Coletta has built a winning project, capable of dominating both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship.

Charles Leclerc explained that a potential entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans would not simply be a romantic dream. For him, it would also represent an important opportunity for technical and mental growth. “All of this means preparation,” the Monegasque explained. “In the WEC the level is really very high.”

A clear reference to the quality of the drivers, the teams and the sheer complexity of a race that demands focus, management and teamwork over many hours. Combining Formula 1 and Le Mans is not easy, but it is not impossible either. Motorsport history offers several notable examples, and Ferrari today has a solid and winning endurance project.

If Charles Leclerc manages to align his commitments and if the Ferrari 499P maintains the level it has shown over the past three years, this scenario could become reality. And in that case, the world of motorsport could truly witness something historic.

As Ferrari continues to excel in endurance racing while rebuilding in F1, Leclerc’s interest in Le Mans highlights his relentless drive for victories, potentially setting the stage for an exciting dual-program future with the Scuderia.
