Dutch GP 2025: Leclerc Reflects on Ferrari’s Difficult Qualifying
The qualifying session for the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix has just concluded, confirming the difficulties Ferrari faced during the three practice sessions. The team struggled to pass the cut between Q1 and Q2, and in Q3 Charles Leclerc ended up stuck in sixth place. A tough blow, especially considering the strong position he had achieved in Hungary.
Charles Leclerc’s immediate thoughts after qualifying
Charles Leclerc has always been extremely hard on himself, and he continued that trend today in his comments to Sky Sport. He said: “It definitely highlights our weaknesses, but what I cannot accept is that today I was terrible. From the start of the weekend, I struggled. I tried many things on the car to find solutions, which didn’t happen, so in terms of consistency throughout the weekend, it was a bit difficult. But that doesn’t excuse the fact that the position we should have aimed for was P4, if we had put everything together.”
Looking ahead to the race
The race is tomorrow, and anything can still happen. Looking back at the 2024 race, Ferrari managed to secure a podium starting from a similar position to today. Furthermore, the team has shown it can maintain a strong race pace, which could allow them to fight for a podium against Max Verstappen and George Russell.
