F1 | Can Ferrari aim for victory in Singapore? Charles Leclerc gives his view on the eve of the race
On the eve of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, Charles Leclerc spoke about Ferrari’s chances of taking victory at the Marina Bay circuit. First it was supposed to be Monza, then Baku. Yet Ferrari’s first win of the season has still not arrived, with both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton hoping to seize an opportunity as early as the Singapore weekend.
Unlike his teammate, who has triumphed four times at one of the most physically demanding events for the drivers, the Monegasque has never managed to win on the streets of Marina Bay. On Sunday, of course, he will do everything possible to change this statistic on a track that, at least on paper, could provide a glimmer of hope for the Tifosi of the Scuderia, who have already been looking ahead to 2026 for some time.
Charles Leclerc’s words as the Singapore weekend begins
During a promotional event linked to one of Ferrari’s sponsors, Charles Leclerc had the chance to speak about what to expect at Marina Bay. He said: “So far this season has been very complicated. As a team we have never managed to reach the level we wanted. On a personal level, however, I am satisfied with how I have performed, and I want nothing more than to bring Ferrari back to the top, maybe starting already from this weekend. Singapore is a circuit that I like a lot and without doubt one of my favorites on the entire calendar. In general I really love street tracks. Having the walls so close is always a challenge for us.” – the Monegasque driver concluded.
