After the Azerbaijan weekend, the F1 circus travels to the Far East for the famous Singapore night race. The city-state will host the championship from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5. The eighteenth round of the 2025 calendar will not feature the Sprint format: teams will instead follow the traditional programme with three practice sessions. The night-time setting also makes the event convenient for European viewers, with start times aligned with other European Grands Prix.
The weekend will begin on Friday with the first free practice session at 11:30 Central European Time. At sunset, cars will return to the track at 15:00 Central European Time – which is 21:00 local time – for FP2. This second session will be the most valuable for the teams, as it takes place in conditions very similar to those of qualifying and the race. Saturday’s qualifying will be held at the same time as FP2, while Sunday’s Grand Prix is scheduled for 14:00 in Central European Time , corresponding to 20:00 in Singapore.
The Marina Bay Street Circuit measures 4.94 km and has hosted Formula 1 since 2008. On race day, drivers will cover 62 laps, totalling 306.143 km. The lap record belongs to Daniel Ricciardo, who set a benchmark of 1:34.486 in 2024.
