Bearman and the future at Ferrari
In the latest episode of The F1 Show podcast, Ted Kravitz discussed Oliver Bearman’s future, which is inevitably connected to that of Lewis Hamilton. Ted Kravitz stated that it is clear Ollie Bearman will eventually replace Hamilton at Ferrari, while the long-term future of Charles Leclerc remains uncertain and is a separate matter. He also pointed out how Ollie Bearman is following in Charles Leclerc’s footsteps. Before joining Ferrari, Leclerc spent a season with Sauber, Ferrari’s customer team. Ted Kravitz explained that this is the Ferrari approach: nurturing young drivers in teams like Sauber or HAAS before promoting them to the main team.
Ted Kravitz also highlighted HAAS’s confidence in retaining Ollie Bearman in 2026, suggesting that Ferrari will allow Lewis Hamilton’s situation to develop naturally over that period.
For both Günther Steiner and Ted Kravitz, the future of Oliver Bearman seems destined to be painted Ferrari red. While not immediate, the doors of Maranello could open for him starting in 2027.
