Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz towards 2024
Scuderia Ferrari is getting ready on the snow for the 2024 Formula One Championship. After a year that lacked satisfaction but with a season promising at least to partially recover the gap to Red Bull, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz find themselves in the Dolomites, balancing between relaxation and athletic preparation.
Charles Leclerc’s Leisure
The first to reach the Dolomites was Charles Leclerc, who enjoyed himself on bobsleds and tried his hand at cross-country skiing, with varying degrees of success. The Monegasque, in a self-ironic manner, even posted some photos of his falls, eliciting laughter from followers and those who make a profession out of this sport, such as the reigning World Cup champion Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. Klæbo even offered to give skiing lessons to the Monegasque.
Carlos Sainz dealing with ski mountaineering
After being a privileged spectator of his father’s sporting achievement, a fresh winner of his fourth Dakar, Carlos Sainz changed climates and landscapes, training in the mountains, as he is accustomed to doing.
The Spaniard reached the Dolomites on Sunday, January 21, and immediately took to the skis to fine-tune his physical condition in preparation for the return to the track. The Ferrari driver embarked on a challenging three-hour ski mountaineering climb yesterday, inviting fans to a return to the track that is increasingly imminent. The pre-season testing session will take place in Bahrain from February 21 to 23, and the first race weekend will be from February 29 to March 2, always in Sakhir.
