Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux bring Ferrari glamour to Cannes Film Festival red carpet
Charles Leclerc swapped the Formula 1 paddock for one of the most glamorous red carpets in the world, as the Ferrari driver attended the 79th Cannes Film Festival alongside Alexandra Saint Mleux.
The prestigious event, held in France from May 12 to May 23, 2026, once again attracted a long list of international celebrities from cinema, fashion, sport and entertainment. The Cannes red carpet was particularly lively for the premieres of A Woman’s Life and The Fast and the Furious, with several high-profile names making their appearance in front of photographers and fans.
Among the stars present were Hollywood icon Demi Moore and Vin Diesel, who attended alongside the daughter of the late Paul Walker. Their presence added a strong cinematic touch to an evening that already had plenty of global attention.
For Ferrari fans, however, one of the main attractions was undoubtedly Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque driver, one of Formula 1’s most recognizable figures, appeared at the event with his wife Alexandra Saint Mleux, bringing a touch of Maranello elegance to the Cannes Film Festival.
Charles Leclerc opted for a refined navy tuxedo, a classic and understated look that matched the formal atmosphere of the evening. Alexandra stood out in a sparkling silver sequined gown, drawing attention with a glamorous appearance perfectly suited to the Cannes red carpet.
The Ferrari driver and Alexandra Saint Mleux also joined Turkish actress Hande Erçel for the premiere of La Vie d’Une Femme. Hande Erçel attracted considerable attention in a gold mesh outfit completed with Pomellato jewellery, while her supporters quickly pushed the hashtag #HandeErçelCannes2026 across social media.
Images and videos from the evening quickly circulated online, including moments showing the guests posing from their hotel balcony before heading to the red carpet. The combination of Formula 1, cinema and fashion made the event especially attractive for fans beyond the usual motorsport audience.
For the 28-year-old, the appearance offered another reminder of how Formula 1 drivers have become global personalities far beyond race weekends. As Ferrari continues its intense 2026 Formula 1 season, Charles Leclerc’s presence in Cannes showed a different side of the Scuderia star, blending racing prestige with the glamour of one of cinema’s most famous events.
