Las Vegas is a track that smiles on Ferrari: could the long-awaited redemption come after a disappointing season? The statistics don’t lie, and a full analysis shows why the Rossa fans have reasons to hope.
The next Formula 1 round is just around the corner, as drivers head to Nevada this weekend to compete on one of the newest circuits on the calendar. In the few editions held so far, Las Vegas has delivered major satisfaction to Ferrari and its supporters, and now the team is aiming for a late-season turnaround.
Statistics confirm it: Ferrari has historically enjoyed good fortune on this track, with impressive performances in both 2023 and 2024. The big question now is what will happen this year.
Las Vegas favors Ferrari: statistics give hope for the weekend
2025 has been a very challenging year for the Scuderia of Maranello. Now, entering the final sprint of the season, fans are hoping to see the much-anticipated redemption for Ferrari – and perhaps it could arrive right here in Las Vegas.
Indeed, the goal for the remainder of 2025, set by Frédéric Vasseur as well as Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, is to win at least one race. Las Vegas may be the last realistic opportunity to achieve this.
The city circuit, located in the heart of Nevada, is quite “friendly” to Ferrari, at least on paper. In 2023, Charles Leclerc delivered one of his best qualifying performances here, securing an outstanding pole position. In the race, however, victory eluded him, partly due to bad luck with a Safety Car but mostly because of a strong performance from rival Max Verstappen.
The pace was there, though, and not just in that season. Even in 2024, Ferrari was competitive. That year’s race was chaotic, marked by extremely low temperatures and unexpected strategies. Significant graining and poor tire management prevented a win, but Ferrari still secured positive third and fourth places.
Mercedes ultimately took the top spot, also helped by some friction between Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. Lewis Hamilton, driving for a different team, delivered one of his standout performances of 2024.
This year, Ferrari approaches the Las Vegas GP with a different mindset: not to dream big, but to limit damage and deliver a final moment of joy for the tifosi. The conditions are favorable, and now it remains to see how the weekend unfolds.
