Drivers are getting ready to hit the track in Barcelona, with qualifying for the 2025 Spanish GP set to begin at 4:00 PM. Follow the battle for pole position LIVE on our website. Updates will appear in the section below a few moments before the start of Q1.
Weather for the Spanish GP
Temperatures during qualifying will remain steady around 27°C. The fight for pole will take place under mostly clear skies, with heat playing a central role at Montmeló. Given the heat and the abrasive nature of the Spanish track’s asphalt, the Soft tyres will allow drivers just one push lap in qualifying before overheating and degrading.
In FP3 at Barcelona, McLaren looked in excellent form despite the new technical directive that just came into effect. Behind them, the pack seems tightly grouped: Ferrari, Mercedes, and Max Verstappen’s Red Bull are all chasing a vital second-row spot on Sunday’s starting grid.
For Sunday, the forecast suggests sun and heat in Barcelona. It should be about 28 degrees Celsius when the cars take to the track for what will be the ninth race of the 2025 season. No rain is expected, with the sun likely to shine over the Catalan circuit.
