From Racing Bulls comes the new engineer overseeing performance operations
The Scuderia Ferrari is continuing its recent trend of adding ‘French’ engineers, a feature that has characterized its recent hiring wave. From Vasseur to Serra to Sanchez, and now the next engineer arriving from nearby Faenza — the headquarters of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (formerly AlphaTauri/Toro Rosso) — the team is reinforcing its technical ranks. The new appointment is Guillaume Dezoteux, selected directly by Ferrari’s technical leadership and Frederic Vasseur. He will join the technical organizational structure, which already includes Diego Tondi for aerodynamics and Frank Sanchez as the latest addition. His official title will be Head of Performance Operations. Guillaume Dezoteux’s effective start date at Maranello will be Monday, February 2, 2026.
The French engineer brings experience similar to that of former Mercedes personnel, having also worked at Michelin as a Tyre Performance Engineer, between two separate stints at Toro Rosso. His first period at Toro Rosso was from 2006 to 2011, and his second from 2012 to 2020, where he eventually became Head of Vehicle Performance — a role he maintained through AlphaTauri and Racing Bulls until just a few months ago.
