Who knows if Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton have spoken on the phone after the latter’s signing with Ferrari? It’s a million-dollar question, to which we probably won’t have an answer.
One thing is certain: the Spaniard would know what advice to give to the seven-time world champion.
Several days after the bombshell news that shook the world of Formula 1, Carlos Sainz has broken the silence about his last year behind the wheel of the Prancing Horse. Various thoughts run through the mind of the Madrilenian, but above all, there is a priority to give his best in 2024.
Partly for himself, partly to prove he is a valuable driver. On this last point, the son of a racing legend shouldn’t worry since there are several teams where he could land next year. While waiting for Audi’s entry into F1, Carlos Sainz needs to find a temporary (or perhaps long-term) arrangement.
Yesterday, we talked about one of the possible destinations for #55. Indeed, in December, Carlos would have visited Williams’ headquarters to discuss a potential move in 2025. While awaiting his destiny, still in limbo, the Spaniard knows exactly what to say when asked for an opinion on Lewis Hamilton.
During the presentation of his karting team, CS55 Racing Kart, the Madrilenian responded to an audience question, asking with curiosity what advice he would give to the British driver arriving in Maranello in 2025.
After a few seconds of hesitation, with great irony and simplicity, Carlos Sainz gave a concise answer: “To try my kart.”

And while the question might stir some controversy (there’s still an entire season), at least the Spanish driver took it in good humor.
Carlos got asked today what advice he would give Hamilton. He replied “that he tests my kart”
Why are they asking him these things when he’s there for a different reason. There’s still a whole season left. At least he took it with humor 😭 pic.twitter.com/7Gmr738DIr
