Sebastian Vettel comments and impressions from the official car presentation:
“Last year we tried lots of things because you know we thought there was more in the car than it probably was. We tried to force it. Usually when you force things, small things go wrong. We didn’t always run the right setup, we didn’t always get everything out of the car, ultimately because of that. I tried to force it in the car and then small mistakes happen. All in all it wasn’t a smooth year and I am sure that changing the mindset a little bit, the expectations, we will have a strong year! We have a lot of clever people. There is a lot stuff that is hidden in the car that I guess will sooner or later come out. We believe it is quite big and hopefully will give us an edge. We will see in the next days, whether there are exciting things to see at the other cars and ultimately the stopwatch rules!”

Does it bother you that you are not declared as the No. 1 for this season?
Seb: “It doesn’t make any difference. We both have the same car, the same conditions and the rest will be decided on track. I am not worried in that regard. I don’t have to hide myself. As I said, last year, here and there it wasn’t good on my side and it didn’t work smoothly but I don’t have to hide myself.”
On the SF1000:
“The corners, slow corners, that is where our focus was. I think the SF1000 is a significant step forward. Maybe at the expense of our advantage on the straights. I expect that we have a car that is easier to setup this year.”
Do you want to continue the new Formula One era (2021) with Ferrari?
Seb: “The current status is like this. The focus is initially on 2020, it hasn’t even started yet. But yes there will be enough time to talk and decide about it but currently I would say yes.”
