Video: what F1 tech expert Craig Scarborough thinks of new power unit regulations for 2026. What Scarbs thinks of the new F1 engine regs by Peter Windsor.

The FIA have recently announced new Formula 1 power unit regulations for 2026 onwards. Over 1,000bhp will still be on tap – but electrification moves up to 50per cent and there will be no more MGU-Hs. The ecologists would perhaps have liked to have seen a reduction in ICE cylinders – and the Formula 1 purists would perhaps like to have seen a return to full-on V10s, with lots of noise and the occasional exhaust flame. What, though, does F1 tech expert Craig Scarborough think about the new rules and regulation?
