This week in Miami, the worlds of Formula 1 and football collided as the city geared up for the upcoming Grand Prix on the 2024 calendar. Ahead of the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr teamed up with Inter Miami soccer star Luis Suárez for a friendly game of head tennis and keepie-uppies.
The duo, both sponsored by German sports brand Puma, crossed paths for what seemed like a fun exchange. Carlos Sainz, a well-known Real Madrid fan, has often been seen showing his support for Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu. It’s quite possible that if time permits, the Spanish driver will catch a match at the DRV PNK Stadium to watch the Herons face off against the New York Red Bulls this weekend.
On Friday afternoon, the Spanish F1 driver will hit the track at the twisty Miami International Autodrome to gear up for Formula 1’s Sprint Weekend. Meanwhile, Luis Suarez will be in action just hours after Carlos Sainz’s qualifying session ends on Saturday, as the Herons take on the Red Bulls in MLS.
