The United Kingdom has added Turkey to its “red list”, which means that Formula One teams in the UK would need to undergo a 10-day quarantine when the Turkish Grand Prix is scheduled to take place next month.
Quarantine would only end on Wed/Thu before the FrenchGP (27.6), therefore Formula 1 is currently searching for a solution. One thought is to swap the dates of the Turkish GP with the Azerbaijan GP, which at this moment is scheduled to take place one week earlier.
However according to AMuS information, the possible swap between the dates was not specifically addressed in the meeting on Saturday in Barcelona. No mention of any other alternatives either.
The German magazine also adds that the paddock is still bringing up two names as alternatives: Mugello and Hockenheim. Nürburgring is very unlikely due to the 24-Hour Race. Hockenheim could do the race, though there was no contact between F1 and them yet: “They have not called us yet..”
