The 2020 F1 season already wrapped up by Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, sights are already set on 2021 and what is promising to be a very active break with a slew of changes as teams look to catch the silver arrows.
The domination of Mercedes and Hamilton have become the one thing we love to hate now as fans crave novelty or at least a challenge. While next season may hold more of the same in terms of constructors, as teams do not have the resources to match Mercedes, the driving, on the other hand, will be a whole different proposition. With all that looks to be in store for the 2021 season, be sure to not miss out on the latest news on what could give you a betting advantage, starting with bonuses and amazing offers, we are even getting you started with Hopa bonus code for free, of course!
Charles LeClerc was the revelation of 2019, and even though his 2020 season was not all of what was expected, the young Monegasque is only 23 and should have a lot more control and certainty of his position as number one at Ferrari next season, with Vettel poised to move. Vettel, a four-time winner of the F1 Championship is set to move to Aston Martin for the 2021 season. The returning British constructor will take over the current Racing Point team in the paddock. Vettel, who has had a tumultuous time at Ferrari and has been the main rival of Hamilton outside Mercedes, has seen his challenge and stock decline in the last two seasons, as a marsh-up of outbursts, claims, and car trouble have thwarted any chance at success with the Italian outfit. 2020, however, was the year and return of Max verstappen to the fore of all the talk on who gets to rival Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes.
The Red Bull Racing driver in his usual aggressive style may have rubbed a few the wrong way but he was the name that sent a bit of a tingle down the spine of Hamilton before every race. Once the youngest driver to ever compete in F1 (a record he still holds), Verstappen was vibrant on and off the course, pointing fingers at the advantages Mercedes and Hamilton have over the other teams, while trying to beat them every race weekend on the track. He managed to hold up both, faring better on the track where he let his driving do all the talking. A late entry to the list of potential 2021 revelations is replacement Mercedes driver, George Russell, who almost broke the internet when he stepped in for Lewis Hamilton. Under contract with Williams, Russell is a champion in his own right, a GP3, and F2 championship already part of his young but impressive resume. The big talk of the off season will be the decision of Lewis Hamilton and the where he chooses to continue to write the next chapter of his greatness.
While staying at Mercedes seems the best option at this point, the world champion is not one to always be predictable.
