The Ferrari Driver Academy line-up for the 2023 campaign has been officially confirmed: eight drivers will be looking to give their best with the hope of making their way up the ranks in Ferrari for the following years. The youngsters will be split across four series for the next campaign, as Scuderia Ferrari recently announced that they met at Maranello to begin a week-long training camp based on their individual needs ahead of their planned schedules, alongside physical and psychological tests to prepare them for a busy season ahead.
This year we will see Oliver Bearman and Arthur Leclerc in Formula 2, both coming from Formula 3. The two achieved one victory each in 2022, remaining in the race for the title until the last stages of the season. The young Englishman, born in 2005, finished third and will continue his experience with the Prema team, while the Monegasque born in 2001, Charles’ brother, will compete with the colors of DAMS.
Dino Beganovic dominated the European Formula Regional championship last year and the step forward from the category to Formula 3 is a natural one. The Swede born in 2004, who won four races in 2022, will remain in the ranks of the Prema team and is ready to fight from the start of the season for the best results and maximum targets.
After Dino Beganovic’s conquest of the title, two drivers will represent Ferrari in the Formula Regional. We are talking about Rafael Camara, a Brazilian born in 2005 who made a very positive impression on his debut in a single-seater last season – securing six victories – in the Italian, German and UAE Formula 4 championships, thus immediately showing that he is ready for the category jump. He will be competing with the Prema team. In addition to him there will be Maya Weug, class of 2004 and first female driver in the history of the Ferrari Academy, who after shining in the Italian Formula 4 championship during the 2022 season is ready for Formula Regional with the Kic Motorsport team.

Finally, James Wharton and the two newcomers, Tuukka Taponen – winner of the FDA Scouting World Finals and fresh off his Formula 4 UAE debut with two podium finishes in three races – and Aurelia Nobels, Brazilian, winner of the 2022 edition of the FIA “Girls on Track – Rising Stars”, destined to compete in Formula 4.
All three will be involved in Formula 4, and for Wharton and Taponen the season has already begun as they both took part in the first round of the UAE Formula 4 championship where they finished on the podium.
