With a few words in Italian and plenty of smiles, the Briton’s first steps have been a success.
Lewis Hamilton’s debut in red becomes a short documentary. Ferrari shared a video capturing the highlights of Wednesday, preserving the purity of the ambient sound in the background. In the Fiorano garage, watching every move of the team, is the ever-present Frédéric Vasseur. Also present is a key figure in #44’s racing career: Angela Cullen, his long-time physiotherapist, who had been rumored for weeks to be resuming her collaboration with Hamilton. There she is, dressed in Ferrari colors—because nothing is left to chance, as Ivan Capelli (La Stampa) emphasizes.

Amidst a bustling team, Hamilton’s parents are also present: his father, Anthony, hugs him and smiles with the pride of the proudest dad, while his mother, Carmen, accompanies him to greet the jubilant Ferrari fans.
Perhaps the most significant detail in the video is an exchange between Lewis Hamilton, Riccardo Adami, and Piero Ferrari. The race engineer is confident: “The first feeling was very good.” Changing teams after so many years in the same one can be challenging. Even just getting used to a different Power Unit is a challenge. But, it seems those few hours of work have already been positive.
Now it’s time to move to Spain, to Barcelona, where Ferrari will continue testing in other TPC sessions. We’ll have to wait another month to see Project 677 come to life. At that point, it will be up to the track to do the talking.
