“He has helped make Formula 1 culturally relevant beyond motorsport and beyond sport itself,” she said. “I think he’s a person with a very powerful voice, and he uses it for good. Others should take inspiration from that. I believe he doesn’t always get enough credit for what he does.”

Continuing on the topic of Lewis Hamilton’s influence, Susie Wolff also spoke about the driver’s support during the FIA inquiry into a possible conflict of interest involving her and her husband. “I think Lewis has always been someone willing to use his voice to do good and has always had a broader vision of how his influence can create a positive impact,” she said.

“It didn’t surprise me that he was the one to speak up, because he’s always the person who steps in when something needs to be said—or when something hasn’t been said but should be,” Susie Wolff concluded, emphasizing the support she received from the British driver during a delicate time.
