Stefano Domenicali has spoken on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, reflecting on the pride of being part of Formula 1 and the crucial role played by Ferrari and Racing Bulls. The Monza weekend has always held a special place in the championship, and under Stefano Domenicali’s leadership, F1 continues to emphasise the value of keeping the historic Italian venue on the calendar.
Domenicali’s words in the press conference
Speaking during the official press conference to present the Monza event, Stefano Domenicali underlined the deep bond that connects Formula 1 and the Temple of Speed. “In 2025 we will celebrate our 75th anniversary. Since 1950, Formula 1 and the Monza circuit have travelled side by side in a journey full of emotions, challenges and triumphs. The sold-out crowd achieved once again this year is proof of the extraordinary moment Formula 1 is experiencing and of the inexhaustible passion of our fans. The link between the city of Monza and its circuit is unique. Added to this is the pride of us Italians in having a historic and legendary team like Ferrari, as well as a wonderful reality like Racing Bulls, who last Sunday at Zandvoort celebrated a fantastic third place with Isack Hadjar,” explained the F1 CEO.
“All of this makes the connection even more special. Together they create a true tricolour triangle, capable of giving Formula 1 some of its most emotional and historic chapters, rich in triumphs and tradition. Today Italy, thanks to Monza, stands proudly in the F1 calendar alongside cities such as Singapore, Miami, Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi, just to name a few. But this is above all a great opportunity and a great responsibility. It means that year after year we must continue to commit to delivering our very best for one of the most prestigious events in our country. A true jewel in the crown that the whole world looks at with admiration.”
“We must constantly improve our objectives and raise our ambitions, investing more and more to enhance the fan experience and to provide stronger support to the teams and all those working behind the scenes. I want to thank everyone for their support. We’ll see each other this weekend at Monza, which as always will be a true celebration of sport and Italian passion,” Stefano Domenicali concluded.
