The unfortunate worldwide situation led to a few old circuits making their appearance again in Formula 1 in the 2020 season, including Nürburgring (Germany) and Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel admitted that is already looking forward to racing in his home race.
Liberty Media is still busy putting new Grands Prix on the calendar, despite the fact that the season has already started. Last week the organisation announced that more races will be added, including a Grand Prix at the Nürburgring.
The last time Formula 1 visited the circuit was in 2013, when Sebastian Vettel took victory. The German driver is therefore eager to return to the track. “The Nürburgring, what a big surprise! Still a Grand Prix in Germany this year”, Vettel told the German press agency dpa – “I’ve driven three times there in Formula 1 so far. With Red Bull I have won it twice. Once I was second and the last time in 2013 I managed to win the race”, the German added.
The race won’t be held until October, which means it could have a big impact on the Grand Prix again. “It will certainly be a challenge for the teams and for us as drivers. I’m already excited about what the weather will be like in October,” the four-time world champion concluded.
