Sebastian Vettel previews the 2017 Chinese Grand Prix. Seb confident Ferrari can achieve another great result.

Sebastian Vettel won the Australian Grand Prix and secured a perfect start of the Formula 1 season for Scuderia Ferrari, but the German driver is now completely focused on the 2017 Chinese Grand Prix, where the Maranello team hopes to confirm the positive impressions from Melbourne.

It was a much-needed Grand Prix result for the Scuderia on the back of a win-less 2016 campaign and Sebastian Vettel is confident the victory at the Albert Park circuit is just the beginning of what Ferrari can achieve this F1 championship: “This was not just a one-race wonder, but the tip of the iceberg. It is a massive achievement especially in the light of the rough road we had last year, one that we had to take and lessons that we had to learn. It’s a wonderful achievement. Now that we’ve won the race it doesn’t mean we stop there. It was just the beginning, but is a nice way to give something back. Now we are getting ready for China, which is a completely different track so things could change, but we have to focus only on us and on how to prepare every single aspect of the race weekend. The motivation has been really high and obviously it helps to wave from the podium. Our job is to keep working at this stage.” – Sebastian Vettel said ahead of the 2017 Chinese Grand Prix, as reported by La Stampa, the Italian daily newspaper published in Turin.

The win in Australia means Sebastian currently leads the Formula 1 Driver Standings ahead of Lewis Hamilton, yet the German driver does not want to make any predictions for the moment as to whether Scuderia Ferrari could in fact fight with Mercedes for the titles: “That’s an early conclusion. It is only the beginning of the season, I think it doesn’t matter now. What matters is we had a good race in Australia and that is a great relief for everyone. The last couple of months have been tough but we just focused on our job and now we go to Shanghai confident that we can achieve another great result.” – Sebastian Vettel concluded, ahead of the 2017 Chinese Grand Prix.
