Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc form to give Scuderia Ferrari experience and fresh talent in 2019 as they push to beat Mercedes. Chrales Leclerc, who was under 10 years-old when Sebastian Vettel made his Formula 1 debut, earned his promotion following positive results at Sauber in 2018.
The four-time world champion is still unsure what to expect from Charles Leclerc as he tells France’s F1 online:
“Time will tell how good he is. I don‘t know him so well yet, and he doesn‘t know me well. He‘s a good guy, so I don‘t expect something to go wrong on track. We will be rivals as Kimi and I have been. You’ll try to be first and that means you’ll have to beat everyone else – including your teammate. We will see how it will work.” – Sebastian Vettel explained.
“Charles and I also know that we want to bring Ferrari back to the front. He is currently at a different stage in his career than I am and I think time will tell how it will work for him. But as far as I have seen and know, he seems to be a good guy.” – Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel concluded.
