From Sebastian Vettel: “How’s the forecast?”
To Sebastian Vettel: “We should get less rain, can extend this run.”
Third practice session:
From Sebastian Vettel: “The track is dry everywhere.”
To Sebastian Vettel: “OK, understood.”
Qualifying session:
From Sebastian Vettel: “I got blocked again.”
To Sebastian Vettel: “It’s OK, we have the other set, box this lap.”
Race – the most important moment of the race in terms of the championship happened before it started. Sebastian Vettel was clearly aware of the restrictions on communications during the formation lap when he asked his team about the problem with his power unit, but they were unable to fix it anyway, and his race was soon over.
FL – From Sebastian Vettel: “I know you’re not allowed to talk to me but if there is anything for safety or reliability let me know.”
FL – To Sebastian Vettel: “Driver default delta two off.”
FL – To Sebastian Vettel: “Driver default alpha four six when you can.”
Lap 2 – From Sebastian Vettel: “I have very little power.”
Lap 2 – From Sebastian Vettel: “Power back on, correct?”
Lap 2 – To Sebastian Vettel: “Yes correct.”
