First practice session:
From Kimi Raikkonen: “OK my rear is not good at all. It’s locking even in turn one.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “Understood.”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK Kimi, for info we’re looking to do four consecutive scenario one laps for temperatures.”
Qualifying session – Following his crash in final practice, Kimi Raikkonen had a grid penalty and so decided to start the race on soft tyres. Scuderia Ferrari told him they had the pace on the harder rubber in Q2 to make it work:
From Kimi Raikkonen: “And the cut-off?”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “29.3. You have a 29.2 in the car.”
However, Kimi still wasn’t entirely happy with his car as Q3 began.
From Kimi Raikkonen: “I lost the rear. Car is loose at the end.|
To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK, understood.”
From Kimi Raikkonen: “Are we coming in?”
To Kimi Raikkonen: “Yep we don’t have the fuel.”
Race:
PR – From Kimi Raikkonen: “I feel like the front are overheating. I don’t know if you can take some more pressure out the fronts, more the balance rearwards? Think that might be good.”
PR – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Copy that, we’re looking into it.”
Lap 2 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “I went wide, but he pushed me off track.”
Lap 2 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “We saw it. Let’s just get back into the rhythm.”
Lap 14 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “I feel like I have quite a bit more pace than him but I’m just stuck.”
Lap 14 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “Keep hounding him, keep making his life difficult.”
Lap 46 – To Kimi Raikkonen: “OK you’re clear to push now Kimi.”
Lap 46 – From Kimi Raikkonen: “I’m pushing all the time.”
VL – To Kimi Raikkonen: “That’s it Kimi, P5. Well done, that’s a great drive, super comeback.”
VL – From Kimi Raikkonen: “Yeah, thanks. But shame we couldn’t use the pace of the car. So much more. And sorry for Seb, what happened there?”
VL – To Kimi Raikkonen: “We have to investigate.”
