Italian blogger Leo Turrini, who is famously very close to proceedings at Scuderia Ferrari, reflects on the Maranello team’s test with the SF71H at the Mugello circuit, in a recent article published on his quotidiano.net blog:
“They told me that the atmosphere in the Ferrari garage in Mugello was good. Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have confirmed to Mattia Binotto their desire to work together, for the races that will be possible to play in 2020. We will see.” – the Italian journalist explained.
“From a technical point of view, in Maranello they believe they have corrected some of the issues that the car had revealed during the Barcelona testing sessions. How much the interventions allow to reduce the gap towards Mercedes and Red Bull, we will find out in just over a week in Austria.” – he added.
“It would be good to add one thing, not to be underestimated. In the F1 circles, news about the Djokovic case was received with anxiety, regarding contagions. At Spielberg, for an extended period, albeit with all precautions, there will still be hundreds of people. There is a risk margin and it is good to be aware of it, without prejudice to our desire to relive the Grand Prix emotions.” – Leo Turrini concluded.
