Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton show promising signs for 2026: message sparks fan optimism

As the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches its conclusion, anticipation is building within Ferrari for a potential resurgence of Lewis Hamilton. Despite the challenges faced by the seven-time world champion this season, optimism remains high among those who know both the driver and the technical intricacies of the championship. Ross Brawn, the former technical director of Ferrari and a pivotal figure in modernizing Formula 1, delivered clear and encouraging comments in an interview with the official F1 website.

Ross Brawn emphasized that Lewis Hamilton has repeatedly proven his ability to respond to challenging situations. The English engineer recalled that the British driver has faced similar difficulties in the past and has always managed to bounce back. “Lewis is an extremely determined driver,” Ross Brawn stated. “He has shown on multiple occasions that he can recover from setbacks, and I see no reason why this time should be any different. I am confident he will return to performing at the level we all know he is capable of.”

This message also serves as a call for Ferrari to rise to the technical challenges of the upcoming 2026 regulations. Next year’s cars will demand radical design choices and a new balance between chassis and engine performance. “I hope Ferrari can interpret the new rules in the best possible way, as this will be crucial for their future,” Ross Brawn added, highlighting how Maranello’s work could directly impact Lewis Hamilton’s ambitions.

The former Ferrari team principal then widened his perspective to include the current season, which he described as one of the most exciting and unpredictable in recent years. According to Ross Brawn, it marks a return to the true essence of Formula 1, with multiple drivers competing for victories at the top. “It has been an extraordinary season,” he explained. “So many different winners, genuine competition. McLaren is doing an exceptional job, consistently putting both of their drivers in contention. Today, it is really hard to predict who will win the next race.”

In such an open and competitive environment, the message is clear: Lewis Hamilton has the potential to rediscover his peak form, and Ferrari can build the right path forward. Together, if managed effectively, this combination could become the key to a fresh start in 2026.

For Tifosi feeling bruised by recent years, Ross Brawn’s words feel like the first real ray of light: get the 2026 car right, and Lewis Hamilton will do the rest.
