Roscoe: after the Mugello test, Hamilton also skips Ferrari’s fashion week event
The health conditions of the bulldog continue to worry the seven-time world champion.
Lewis Hamilton by the side of Roscoe
The health situation of Lewis Hamilton’s dog Roscoe, who fell into a coma after contracting a severe pneumonia, is deeply concerning for the Mercedes driver. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion therefore decided to miss the Pirelli testing day at Mugello, where Ferrari was on track, preferring instead to stay close to his four-legged best friend. He has been documenting Roscoe’s difficult fight between life and death on his social media channels. The bulldog’s condition has created serious apprehension, to the point that the 40-year-old British driver also chose to miss another of his great passions: fashion, which this week takes center stage during Milan fashion week.
The withdrawal from Milan fashion week
After recently asking his fans to “pray for Roscoe,” Lewis Hamilton confirmed that he would also be absent from the Ferrari Style event in Milan, where he had been expected as one of the guests of honor. “I was supposed to be in Milan,” explained the Formula 1 world champion in an Instagram story, “on Saturday to attend the Ferrari Fashion event, and I was really excited about it. But, as you know, right now I need to stay by Roscoe’s side. I will still watch the Ferrari Style show via streaming, and I want to send all my love and support to Rocco (Iannone, creative director of the Maranello team’s fashion brand) and to his entire team.”
Hamilton added: “I am sure it will be an incredible show, and I will enjoy watching it online on Saturday morning. We will see each other very soon.” Already on Friday, the 40-year-old British driver had decided to miss the Pirelli 2026 tire tests at Mugello, handing over the car in the afternoon to reserve driver Zhou Guanyu, during a session that was anyway affected by bad weather. The Maranello team still managed to complete 100 laps (25 with Charles Leclerc in the morning and 75 with the Chinese driver who replaced Hamilton), focusing mostly on the intermediate tires, with only a few runs on slicks.
