Comparison of DRS effectiveness between Red Bull (Max Verstappen), Scuderia Ferrari (Carlos Sainz) and Aston Martin (Fernando Alonso) based on data from the second free practice session for the 2023 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, which took place earlier today at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne:
Based on the data from the graph above, we can see that unfortunately Red Bull’s advantage in terms of DRS effectiveness has increased even more as compared to the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the first two rounds of the 2023 Formula 1 championship.

Scuderia Ferrari: -32.2%
Aston Martin: -23.4%
Aston Martin’s inferior DRS effectiveness is clearly visible since the start of the season and a key area where they need to improve in order to have a chance of fighting Red Bull this season.
