Following the conclusion of qualifying for the Silverstone GP, let’s discover the starting grid and any penalties that may apply.
It hasn’t been a favorable weekend for Ferrari, arriving in England with many doubts about the right setup to use. Ultimately, after comparison sessions, the Scuderia opted for the old configuration instead of the new one used since Barcelona.
Meanwhile, McLaren appears to be on another level and ahead of Red Bull in race pace. While it’s a dark night for Sergio Pérez, Max Verstappen faces a different challenge: this track doesn’t suit him. Another duel with Lando Norris can be expected, especially since the two will start close together.
A highly eventful Q3: Mercedes and McLaren battled for pole position until the very end. Ultimately, though, it was George Russell who clinched the top spot. Scuderia Ferrari is in complete disarray: after Charles Leclerc’s elimination in Q2, Carlos Sainz couldn’t deliver his best and settled for P7.
Let’s now find out the starting grid for the Silverstone GP and any penalties.
