The Portimao Circuit stretches over 2.9 miles was designed by Ricardo Pena. The design sports several hairpins and 16 turns to offer the fans the true essence of racing; in addition to making life harder for the drivers.
However, that is not all, the track has a balanced equation of hills and slopes that will effectively test the control that every driver maintains over their car. The circuit promises some interesting stories at Turn 3 that leads to the hairpin and another similar one at Turn 13. However, the apex at Turn 11 and Turn 12 is equally testing.
Eventually, after maneuvering left and right through the hairpins and the apexes, the drivers come to the fast-paced Turn 15 that leads them to high-speed straight down the colossal gallery to their left.
Join us for the latest updates and results from the Portimao Circuit, as the second practice session for the 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF1000, ready to continue evaluating the ideal set-up ahead of the qualifying session and the race on Sunday.
