Formula 1 official tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed the tyre compounds which will be available for the next four rounds of the 2022 Formula 1 season in the Emilia Romagna, Miami, Spanish and Monaco Grands Prix.
For the first two races, in Imola and Miami, the compounds will be the same as witnessed at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia (the C2, C3 and C4). This also represents the same tyre selection used when Formula 1 visited the Imola circuit last season. At the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, the tyres at the hardest end of the range will be used, the C1, C2 and C3, as was the case at Bahrain. Again, the same three compounds were used for the 2021 Spanish Grand Prix.
Finally at Monaco, Formula 1 official tyre supplier Pirelli has decided for the compounds at the other end of its range, the C3, C4 and C5. Unlike the selection for the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne, where the C5 was used, there is no jump between the medium and soft tyres.
Grand Prix | Soft | Medium | Hard |
Bahrain | C3 | C2 | C1 |
Saudi Arabia | C4 | C3 | C2 |
Australia | C5 | C3 | C2 |
Emilia Romagna | C4 | C3 | C2 |
Miami | C4 | C3 | C2 |
Spain | C3 | C2 | C1 |
Monaco | C5 | C4 | C3 |
